Laneway Festival 2015

Whoo! It's my first outdoor music festival and I'm so happy to have shared the experience with Danial. Being the kiasu people we (I) are, we entered the gates at 1030 LOL.

Crazy in love with my ASOS sundress! The back has some cute tie-string details too. Then at Gardens by The Bay we stumbled across this lane thingy and I asked Danial to help me snap a few pics..

Took shade under some sponsored umbrellas.. and took so many selfies that Danial said "Wah enough already!" Think he was embarrassed LOL

HAHAHA set up camp by 11.15 and the first act only started at 12.55!!! In my defense, people started sprouting out of nowhere around the same time too, so luckily we came by and got good seats. But we're perhaps a bit too early lah lolol

Some guy came by and asked if we'd like ice cream. We thought it was free cos he approached us. Then he said one small tub costs $6. Wtf lol it wasn't that nice also. Anw the story behind this pic is that Danial threw away the melting ice cream for me. That's all.

 

One beer down...... Really couldn't tell if my bloodstream was pulsing with alcohol or if I was sunburnt. It could also have been a mixture of both hehe

Insane crowd that grew larger and larger as the day wore on. Think this was Mac DeMarco playing. He crowd-surfed! Damn fascinating how people crowd surf. What if the person you landed on had no strength to prop you up LOL (???)

 

Then it started drizzling quite heavily so we had to take out our raincoats, and this happened..

Some photographer for a magazine took my photo but I didn't ask which magazine was she from!!! And also doubt I look anywhere as good as the above picture lah

 And finally, the band I've been waiting for - ANGUS AND JULIA STONE!!!!!! We stood for 40 minutes in front 'queueing' to get good views! We started 'queueing' even when Courtney Barnett was playing. Couldn't tell if the crowd were in front for CB or for A&J Stone. Anyway it was kinda disappointing they didn't play 'Grizzly Bear', although 'Big Jet Plane' was damn good. 'For You' was lovely too!!!! They sound just as good live as on Youtube!!!

Anyway by the time the sun set, I was so sunburnt it wasn't even funny. It hurt so bad!!!!!! Can't even lie on my back now and the tan lines quite hideous tbh. Especially the part where the dress criss-crosses at the back hahaa

If the lineup next year is good, I'll wanna return! But I really hate the crowd, especially near the stages. The angmohs were the worst!!!! They just squeezed their way through and danced so hard (seriously, their dance to Angus & Julia Stone was a bit off) regardless of space constraint etc. Maybe this is how all music fests are like (altho only the angmoh tourists went batshit crazy) but it just ain't my style man. To think I still told Danial we should save up to go to Coachella one day. Think it would be worse LOL
