January's been a whirl so far... Can't believe we're 25 days into the year. So far, the world has lost countless of good (and bad) people, hearts have been broken, food stolen by monkeys, hostages captured by ISIS, .... and life goes on.
It's hard to say when we'll ever get over the death of someone we loved, but it'd always comforting to know they're on their way to somewhere better. In this case we know you're going to Heaven and you've been promised eternal life. So perhaps that's the saving grace of this terrible situation.
I'm so glad I attended the last mass that will ever be said for you. I feel the pain for the people you've loved and whom love you. I know how it feels to lose someone dear and in the same manner. I can't say I feel the exact pain they feel, cos after all we haven't spoken in years and what I know of you was just the short time we were acquainted back in 2007-2008. But I will remember your life, and joy you've brought to the people around you, your spontaneity and willingness to give. It's been a real ride knowing you. I hope one day when I finally make it to Heaven, I'll have the courage to say hi, instead of being awkward.
Thank you for you, and thank God for your life.
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
