the menu was spectacular: soft shell crab burger, pan seared salmon with wasabi slaw, spam fries, truffle sweet potato... etc, aka a little bit of everything i love. but i chose the croque madame, and it was just.... eh. the prosciutto didn't taste as good as i'd imagined it to be. back when i was in glasgow we used to buy prosciutto from the supermarket and it was like a luxury lol. but i digress. anyway i didn't like the drippy eggs on my croque madame. i hate wet yolk, especially when it turns cold. which is inevitable becos i have to take the photos for work and personal use! darn.

i did love the berry ricotta pancakes, but then again i'm partial to pancakes. and croissants. and stuff like that. gosh for the rest of my life i never want to eat another regular birthday cake. i hate cream, and yet people celebrating my birthday always get me "pretty" cream cakes. pls. i hate cream cakes. i hate cream. what i love is nutella. nutella. not chocolate cream.

i mean, a BIT of cream cheese is fine. but the best is no cream.

again, i digress.

p.s. we had a really awesome waiter who helped us to take a couple of group photos. he even threw in a suggestion: "why don't yall look at each other?" and so we did. it turned out like a bridal party shoot, but eh, we'll take it. i bet he's an instagram husband when he's not serving tables at curious palette lol.
