The RWB team surprised me with a huge balloon, and a meal at Revelry. It was a surprise in every sense of the word, haha. I hate the idea of someone giving me a balloon/balloons cos I think it's damn lame, but the initial one really takes the game to a whole new level.
Mum baked me a pistachio lemon cream cheese cake that's white outside in pink on the inside – exactly how I'd envisioned it to be. Then we had a simple dinner at night. She whipped up a black pepper beef thingy over Japanese peal rice, topped with some fish roe and a runny egg. Yummers.
I got a card from Danial, which he'd slotted through the door of my office, giving me a pleasant surprise when I'd stepped in on that morning. We chose my Furla two week ago, but I'd told him to keep it with him til the actual day, and I've only just carried it today. It's really small and useless, but I love it.
I also received a Petra Collins photo book, a Zonzo comic book (sounds geeky but it's art!), two other novels not pictured, and the MMM roll-on, which is my current favourite scent.
It's funny how you don't think you'd need all these things, but the moment you lay your eyes on them, you're like "HOW THE HELL DID I NOT WANT YOU EVEN BEFORE I SAW YOU????"
So this sums up my birthday. It's nice when the people around you know that you'd do anything for the 'gram, and everything has to be picture perfect.
It's either I'm an anal perfectionist, or I'm just really damn superficial. I think I swing both ways.
