Pacamara

Growing up in the Thomson area, I've seen cafes pop up and wind down in the past 7 - 8 years. From Ice Kimo (the first ice cream waffle place I'd ever been to) to Salted Caramel, then Udders, Badoque, One Man Coffee + Crust, .... Pacamara has to be one of the prettiest I've seen in this area.

Anyway, Danial and I had brunch there one Sunday after church and for the first time, we ordered ALL THE HITS and no misses. Gosh it's been about three weeks since we visited, and even now that I'm looking at the photos I still feel hungry for whatever we ordered.

This plate of lemongrass ricotta pancakes IS THE BOMB. Look at the display wtf, such a generous amount of compote. The flavours were absolutely on point.

I had the mushroom aglio olio, which was also damn good please!!! Most fungi dishes have a super smelly tablecloth smell (LOL) but this one was kept to a minimum, if any at all.

By the way, aglio olio is pronounced as AHL-YO OHL-YO. It's a silent G!!!!!!! Omg I always feel like punching whoever pronounces the G in aglio.

*chants mantra to calm down* *doesn't work, still feel like punching someone*

This is how fluffy the pancakes are. It's just so good that I really really want to eat this again. I think I just love anything floury and sugary. Scones, pancakes, croissants, bread, pastries, you name it I'll eat it.

Danial's beef bolognaise. Portion was huge man.

The meal was an absolute delight, if you couldn't already tell from my limited use of adjectives.

There was a little unpleasantry towards the end of our meal though. There was this EXTREMELY rude waitress. I hate rude customer service! Don't want to serve then don't work in service line – simple as that. And if you want to be in service line, then don't give a shitty attitude when you're working. Ugh terrible.

But I will still return cos the food I ordered was too good T.T I will probably just always order these lol.
